Meet the face behind the name

Julia has been passionate about animals her whole life. Having ridden horses competitively for years growing up; working at various stables and dairy farms to fund that passion, she decided she would take a a different path out of high school. Attending farrier college, then completing an apprenticeship, the start up costs were ultimately too great to be an independent farrier.

During this interim period Julia invested a lot of her time with her horse Killian, and Labrador Skipper. Fast forward a few years, Julia acquired a German Shepherd x Malinois, who ended up being leash reactive with severe separation anxiety. With the help of a few trainers along the way, Massey has taught Julia a lot about more difficult dogs.

Feeling unfulfilled in her job, she decided to take a leap of faith and throw herself into the mix. Having previously been a walking/boarding/training client, Julia understands the client perspective. Knowing how much of a difference these services have made in her life, it was an easy decision to offer them herself.

Julia is currently training Massey (GSDxMal) for various sports, hoping to achieve a few titles next year.
